Youtube, the world’s largest video-sharing site, is no exception. It has quickly grown to becoming a powerhouse of online video content. Although the content of YouTube is a mix of user-generated clips and professional content from YouTubers, most of the video is user-generated. These are typically short, funny clips, uploaded by amateur users. “In the US, you’re going to be getting tons of demands from law enforcement to get your password, or to prove that you are who you say you are,” said Nick Fehr, a systems analyst at FireEye. Comoye said the government isn’t nearly as prepared for a cyberattack on American banks and the financial system, which is less reliant on computer technology than defense systems or pharmaceutical companies. “I think the US has not yet fully recognized the threat,” said Dave Aitel, CEO of Immunity Inc., a computer security company based in New York. “There has been an effort by the government to create awareness of this vulnerability and to get a sense of how vulnerable we are. I think they’re getting a pretty good sense of it.” Aitel said the government has made progress because of recent cyberattacks. The August data breach at the Office of Personnel Management affected more than 22 million people, including top-ranking government officials. But Aitel said the government still has a long way to go. “We haven’t yet been able to provide robust security to the infrastructure. The infrastructure is still vulnerable,” he said. The FBI is concerned about hacking. But cybersecurity experts say the US government is going about it the wrong way. Instead of ordering mandatory ac619d1d87
